In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Special weapons

Third Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's third free story content, titled "The Enigma." This humorous quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive abilities: Naoe reveals a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
